My second post. Hard to believe that it has actually been an entire year since the first post. That's okay. No one ever said it was a race.
I recently saw Julia and Julie and got inspired again to join the blogging ranks.
What's happened in a year...Hmmm. My oldest daughter got married (7 weeks notice - thank you very much), I have 2 sons now. We had to find a new home for 1 of our poodles. Diamond just couldn't handle everything and needed an environment where she was top dog (and the only dog). Our #2 daughter graduated from high school and has gone off to College. The other night she told me she had gone on a date with a 25 year old young man. She's still 17. It's scary when you send them out.
I started teaching for the Calif School of Professional Fabric Design and am really enjoying sharing the process of designing with others.
I got signed with Riley Blake Designs and am now officially a textile designer working on my first collections.
I am still working at the High School - for how much longer I don't know. It will depend on the stability of the design world.
I've started 2 books. We'll see how it goes.
